Job Description

This role requires a candidate who has a passion for safety and precision that wants to have a critical role in the success of our projects. In this role, you will operate a variety of cranes, including crawler and hydraulic cranes, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability in all lifting operations.

Crane Operations

Safely assemble, operate, and disassemble cranes, including pickers, boom trucks, crawler, and hydraulic cranes. Lift and move heavy materials and equipment based on job requirements.

Safety and Compliance

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Actively participate in safety programs and contribute to ongoing safety initiatives.

Equipment Maintenance

Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning properly. Report any mechanical or operational issues promptly.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with supervisors, mechanics, and team members to complete tasks efficiently. Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to align on project goals.

Record Keeping

Maintain accurate records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Education -

Mobile Crane Operator Trade Certification and Red Seal required.

Experience -

A minimum of 5 years of experience operating various types of cranes.

Certifications -

Valid Class 1 driver's license and crane operator certification/license.

Skills and Knowledge

- + Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations in crane operations.
+ Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
+ Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
+ Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
Willingness to travel within Atlantic Canada as needed.
