The Opportunity:
We are looking for a
Manager (Canadian CPA)
to join our team. This is a hands-on management role ideal for someone who is
responsible, reliable, and organized
, who enjoys both technical work and guiding a team. You will oversee file reviews, client relationships, and workflow management, while helping us maintain the high standards our clients expect.
, focusing on shareholder compensation planning, overall financial reasonableness, and identifying tax planning opportunities/risks.
Manage workflow and monitor file status
across the team, follow up where needed, and keep engagements moving efficiently to meet deadlines.
Communicate directly with clients,
providing professional and approachable guidance on accounting and tax matters, while proactively delivering advisory support and independently managing client relationships
with confidence.
Mentor and support junior staff, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of accountability and learning.
(For candidates with advanced tax expertise) Lead and independently execute
tax reorganization and planning engagements
for Canadian owner-managed businesses.
What We're Looking For:
Canadian CPA designation with
5-8+ years of Canadian public accounting experience
.
Strong technical knowledge in compilation engagements and corporate tax planning for owner-managed businesses.
Proficiency with working paper systems (CaseWare or similar) and solid understanding of Canadian tax compliance.
A
systematic, organized leader
who enjoys managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met.
Excellent communication skills -- able to explain accounting and tax concepts simply to clients.
Professional, approachable, and team-oriented.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary:
$100K-$125K for experienced managers with strong file review and client leadership skills.
$125K-$150K for candidates with
advanced Canadian private corporation tax expertise
who can independently manage tax reorganizations.
