Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation

, we will give you a rich training experience. Developing skilled university graduates to be vibrant, contributing innovators is key to the future and the ATB CPA Pre-Approved Program does just that.

ATB's CPA Pre-Approved Program

provides successful candidates with a range of opportunities to obtain core competencies required for the CPA designation. This is a 30-month rotational program across our Corporate Accounting, Complex Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting areas, so you'll get your Practical Experience Requirements (PER) for CPA in the areas of Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Audit & Assurance, Finance, and Strategy & Governance.

Our program is designed to not only trainyou for your CPA designation but provide you with the business experience to quickly advance your career. You will have meaningful work creating value for the business; by supporting the work that directly improves ATB's financial performance. You will gain the skills and knowledge to be a CPA during a 30-month, CPA institute-approved rotational program designed to provide breadth and depth of practical experience. You will receive all the financial and educational support for your program studies including: full cost of the firstwriting of the CPA program and Densmore CFE prep course, being paired with a CPA-approved mentor to help you make the most of your experience, additional paid leave to study for exams and employment benefits. Your pay scale is set up to reflect your progression through the CPA program.

Education & Experience

University degree students completing their final year of studies in Commerce or Business - specializing in Accounting, Finance or Economics Strong academic results Have all prerequisite courses to enter the Professional Education Program (PEP) Business or accounting related work experience is considered an asset Involvement in extracurricular business or accounting activities is an asset

As the ideal candidate you possess:

Highly-developed analytical and problem-solving skills Detail oriented and strong time management & organizational skills The ability to adapt to new situations and prioritize when needed Strong communications skills Relationship-building and collaboration skills The ability to be self-motivated and are able to initiate activities with minimal supervision A passion for learning and our industry The ability to work in a team environment
