CPA Accountant

About the Role



As a CPA Accountant at Industrial Rigging & Supply, you will be integral to our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and supporting our continued growth. You will manage various accounting functions, providing essential financial insights that drive strategic business decisions. Key Responsibilities



Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Oversee and manage all general ledger accounts, ensuring precise and timely recording of all financial transactions. Execute thorough month-end and year-end close processes, including meticulous reconciliations and journal entries. Prepare and file various tax returns (e.g., corporate tax, HST,WSIB, Payroll remittances) and ensure strict compliance with all relevant tax regulations in Ontario and Canada. Processing of Payroll, submission of T4s & record of employment (ROEs). Actively participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational and financial improvement. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and clear explanations. Develop, implement, and refine accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support overall business objectives. Stay current with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations.

Qualifications



Designated Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. Minimum 3 years of accounting work experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial supply, or related environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and, if applicable, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (bilingual in French would be an asset). Familiarity with Ontario tax regulations and manufacturing accounting principles is highly desirable.
