Job Purpose: We are seeking a skilled Coxswain to join our team. The Coxswain will be responsible for the safe launching, recovery and navigation of the Light Daughter Craft (LDC) and/or Fast Rescue Craft (FRC). He/she will ensure the vessel\xe2\x80\x99s navigational equipment, radio equipment, and publications are maintained and up to date. In additional the Coxswain will be responsible for the maintenance of the vessel. The Coxswain will be in command of the LDC / FRC when at sea and will ensure that safe watches are maintained at sea, at anchor, whilst moored alongside installation or other structures and whilst the LDC is engaged in diving operations. Expectation will be that the Coxswain will be able to interchange between LDC and FRC. Job Scope (budget, management, specific criteria):
Contract length: 40 days Flexible Language Requirement:
- Maintaining the navigational safety of the boat at all times
- Ensuring the continued safety of the boat in all modes of operation
- Responsibility for the craft whilst stowed onboard the Mother Vessel
- Ensure all navigational equipment is functioning correctly and preparation for launch and recovery, including completion of checklists, logbooks and other documentation
- Upkeep of charts and publications
- Designated radio operator
- Maintenance and renewal of lifesaving apparatus and firefighting apparatus
- Following the maintenance plan including electrical, engine and propulsion, and davit system
- Response to any diving emergency and familiarity with related procedures
- Response to any other emergency, and ensuring boat are aware and familiar with their duties
- Ensuring all diver emergency equipment is ready for immediate use
- Following the project scope of work and identifying any associated operational concerns, including roles of divers and standby divers
- Ensuring safety of all crew and divers including use of dive ladders, deck rigging, diver equipment downlines and lifting operations
- Safety of mooring \xe2\x80\x93 both static and dynamic \xe2\x80\x93 including fendering arrangements
- Communications with Deep Explorer and surface installations, following agreed communication procedures and standard terminology
- Conducting safe personnel transfers at sea between LDC and FRC (fast rescue craft)
- Coxswain of FRC when required
- Take command of LDC / FRC and all related activities
- Safety of crew and LDC / FRC
- In command of any emergency situations
- Ability to work in multinational environment
- STCW FRC certification
- Coxswain experience of similar vessel
- Experience of similar operations, including launch and recovery at sea
- Light diving craft experience and responsibility for divers safety

- 12 hour shift
