The Department of Political Science is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2026. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.
POLI 431-001 Nations and Nationalism (3 Credits - CAP 80)
The role of nationalism in the political development of modern nation-states. Topics include: the origins of nationalism, nationalism and state-formation, anti-colonial nationalism, secession and sub-state nationalism, war and nationalism, federal and consociational arrangements in multi-national societies.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
A completed PhD degree or enrolled in a doctoral program in Political Science or a discipline related to the course;
??Provide evidence of effective teaching ability as a result of having successfully taught a similar course;
?The candidate's area of specialization must be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;
Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.
Tuesday and Thursday 02:35 pm-03:55 pm, January 5, 2026 - April 14, 2026. Location: ENGMD 276.
Salary: $11,479 per course.
