LIBA 402 001 Seminar in Liberal Arts (3 credits) \xe2\x80\x93 Winter 2024

Course details: LIBA 402 is a mandatory course for students enrolled in the Major in the Liberal Arts program. The course content is readings and discussions on Liberal Arts. Students are introduced to a specific topic, related to the instructor\'s ongoing research interest, and/or recent publications. The course combines the examination of a body of primary sources and a representation specimen of scholarly literature on the subject.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Ph.D. in a humanistic discipline including a Modern Language, Classics, History or Philosophy. Demonstrable interest in Ancient, Medieval or Early Modern Culture.

Experience: Minimum two years of University teaching experience at the undergraduate level in Europe or North America.

Position Summary:

A Course Lecturer assignment includes all or part of the following teaching activities:

a) preparation of the Course and Course plan;
b) delivery of the Course;
c) evaluation of students;
d) submitting to the University a report on student attendance and student grades;
e) supervision of Teaching Assistants or any other teaching support staff;
f) upon request, review of their students\xe2\x80\x99 grades;
g) meeting with students, being available to answer questions and give advice concerning Course content and requirements;

Employees shall perform their duties in compliance with the Pedagogical Regulation and as specified in the administrative directives of the Hiring Unit. An Employee shall use appropriate pedagogical methods and material.
