Course Description: Research methods and designs, planning and evaluating research, relations between research and statistical designs, interdisciplinary and nonquantitative approaches, meta-analysis, and the use of computers beyond computation. Ethics, scholarly writing.

Exigences de Qualification Pour L'Enseignement/Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
Education/EducationMaster's or PhD (or candidates) in Learning Sciences, Educational Psychology, Applied Psychology, or equivalent.

Experience/ExperienceBackground and/or courses related to Instructional psychology Knowledge of modern and seminal methods common to the Learning Sciences an asset Experience in educational settings and/or curriculum design Experience in college/university teaching in this subject or professional experience in teaching K-12 Experience teaching educators

Autre/OtherAdherence to evolving program requirements concerning course content and program-developed competencies; course content and references must reflect the most current advances in the field.
Additional Information
Effective dates of appointment are December 29, 2025 to May 1, 2026. Course dates are from January 5, 2026 to April 14, 2026. This course will be offered in-person on campus at McGill.
