Position Overview




The Course Developer will be responsible for developing high-quality courses collaborating with the Associate Dean and instructional designers for online, hybrid, and traditional classroom settings. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert and will possess a strong understanding of pedagogical principles, instructional design methodologies, and emerging technologies to enhance student learning experiences.

Course Developer Per course rate: $7,200 (paid in installments)



Courses: Applied Social Psychology, Social Cognition, Social Identity



Position Requirements



Collaborate with the Associate Dean in understanding learning objectives, course content, and instructional materials for new courses. Design and develop engaging and interactive course materials, including lectures, presentations, multimedia resources, assessments, and learning activities. Utilize instructional design principles and best practices to ensure courses meet quality standards, accessibility guidelines, and student learning outcomes. Incorporate innovative instructional strategies, educational technologies, and multimedia tools to enhance student engagement and promote active learning. Work collaboratively with instructional designers and multimedia specialists to integrate diverse perspectives and expertise into course development.

Education and Experience



PhD in Psychology or related discipline Minimum of a Master or Bachelor degree from an accredited institution with 5 years of professional work experience Minimum 3 years of experience in online course development, the instructional design process, or curriculum design in a higher education setting. Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theories and assessment strategies. Proficiency with course development tools, learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace, Canvas, Blackboard). Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, AODA) and experience designing inclusive learning environments. Knowledge of copyright and intellectual property issues related to educational materials and online content.
