We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Courier Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and documents efficiently and safely to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as required. This position is essential in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of service.
Duties
Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods and documents to designated locations.
Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of packages to prevent damage.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and customer signatures.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including moving items and organizing inventory.
Operate forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading heavy items.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred; experience in commercial driving is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the day.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Experience in moving or logistics is advantageous.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety protocols is beneficial.
Forklift certification is a plus but not required; training may be provided.
A clean driving record with no major violations is preferred.
