DHL Express currently has an opening for an Courier Driver in our facility in Dartmouth, NS. The Operations Supervisor provides \xe2\x80\x9chands-on\xe2\x80\x9d proactive management of the employees engaged in the daily export, clearance and transit of packages and freight, within prescribed standards of cost, efficiency, accuracy and on-time distribution. The supervisor implements new procedures to improve operational effectiveness and provides performance reports for management as required. Responsible for activities related to timely, safe loading and dispatch of DHL Aircraft in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

• Complete assigned deliveries and pick ups and/ or other tasks assigned by supervisor
• Vehicle pre-trio and post-trip inspections
• Scan freight as per agreed procedures.
• Organize and sort all freight to appropriate routes.
• Move freight within the warehouse area as per requirements.
• Accurately sort & process, by deadlines. in-bound material.
• Assist Tracing Department with thorough warehouse checks for missorts, on-hands, etc..
• Participate in the organization and clean-up of the warehouse area.
• Participate in maintaining a safe and co-operative work environment.

Do you have what it takes?

• High School Diploma
• Valid driving license
• Forklift certificate
• Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70 lbs per piece, throughout shift.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on-time within tight time constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Meet security requirements
