Job Description
Driver You are delivering small parcels mostly 10lb or less. Delivering from 9am-9pm but most people would be done much earlier. Piece rate for delivery. Will make between $32-45/hr. The work would run for at least 2 months and could go beyond. It\'s 2-5 days per week. You MUST have access to an SUV OR MINIVAN, you will not be provided one. The payment would be $4.25/delivery. The Average will be 80 deliveries per day. The route will launch from Charlottetown and could include outlying areas. The total KMs per day is up to 90km but the furthest you\'ll go out is 30km. You will not be asked to go to cities, not in the same direction. Duties:
- Transport goods and materials from one location to another
- Follow a predetermined route
- Operate a van, minivan or SUV
- Load and unload cargo using pallet
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Communicate with warehouse staff, as needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
- Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is preferred but not necessary
