The Quartz Countertop Installer is responsible for the professional and safe installation of pre-fabricated quartz countertops and related materials. This role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to quality, excellent customer interaction, and the ability to handle heavy materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Precisely install quartz countertops, backsplashes, and related components in clients' homes or commercial spaces according to blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
Site Preparation:
Conduct final on-site assessments and preparations, including leveling cabinets, removing existing countertops as needed, and ensuring the work area is safe and ready for installation.
Quality & Safety:
Ensure all installations comply with company quality standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices. Inspect the completed installation for defects and ensure a clean, polished finish.
Customer Service:
Act as a professional and courteous representative of the company. Communicate clearly with customers regarding the installation process, answer questions, address concerns promptly, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Teamwork:
Collaborate effectively with team members, fabricators, and project managers to maintain project timelines and resolve on-site issues.
Equipment & Tools:
Properly load, transport, maintain, and care for all installation tools, equipment (hand tools and power tools), and company vehicles.
Documentation:
Complete all necessary job-site paperwork, including sign-offs and final measurements, accurately and on time.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
professional experience in countertop installation, with a strong focus on engineered stone would be an asset.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools specific to stone fabrication and installation (e.g., grinders, polishers, levels).
Physical Demands:
Must be physically able to lift and carry heavy quartz pieces (often 50+ lbs unassisted and 100+ lbs with a team lift) and stand/kneel for extended periods.
Communication:
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
Transportation:
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Attention to Detail:
Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
Preferred Skills (Assets):
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and detailed shop drawings.
Experience with other stone materials (e.g., granite, marble).
Knowledge of adhesives, sealants, and caulking techniques specific to quartz.
Prior experience driving a company box truck.
