The fifth-generation family business takes pride in providing quality products, customized solutions, and service to their industrial, commercial, and residential customer base. We have 11 locations throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. We are currently recruiting a Counter Salesperson to join our team of dedicated professionals in Bridgewater, NS.

What is my role?

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will provide high level customer service to clients and potential customers, initiation of prospect calls and the establishment of ongoing rapport with existing customers. Additionally, you will:

• Ensure follow-up by passing leads to Sales/Branch Manager with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
• Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
• Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and e-mail cross-sell and up-sell.
• Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
• Overcome objections of prospective customers.
• Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, and prepare customer sales orders.
• Warehouse duties are routinely part of this position.

• Strong knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
• Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or related field considered a strong asset.

This is a full-time salaried position working out of our location in Bridgewater, NS. The location will be open from 7:00 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday, but hours outside of these should be expected. Salary is based on an 8-hour day, 40-hour week. Annual base salary will be commensurate with your experience.
