Counter Sales Associate Job Summary

Hydronic Centre is seeking a reliable and customer focused Counter Sales Associate to join our Team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at the sales counter, supporting daily store operations, and ensuring customers receive accurate product information, quotes and order processing. The ideal candidate has experience in hydronics, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or a related industry, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Greet, assist, and service walk-in customers, contractors, and technicians at the sales counter. Provide product knowledge, selection support, and technical information related to hydronic heating systems and other components. Process customer orders, quotes, returns, invoices and payments accurately in the system. Answer phone and email inquiries, provide pricing and availability, and ensure follow-ups are completed promptly. Reordering stock by issuing purchase orders, receiving goods in the system and posting invoices in a timely manner. Maintain counter and showroom cleanliness, stocking shelves and replenishing inventory as needed. Assist with warehouse tasks to keep the area clean and safe. Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, picking and packing orders, shipping deliveries and restocking. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in hydronics, HVAC, plumbing supply, or a related technical industry preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to read and understand technical product information. Basic computer skills: experience with Spire Business Management Software or other similar programs is a bonus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with warehouse-related tasks as needed. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid forklift license from a recognized forklift training center preferred.
