Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing transactions. Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen, and dining space. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines. Assist in upselling menu items to enhance customer experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during peak hours. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred. Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment. Experience with food preparation and kitchen duties is a plus. Knowledge of sanitation practices to maintain a clean workspace. Willingness to learn new skills related to food service operations. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
