Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counsellor or Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support to children and adolescents, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote mental health and well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of pediatric psychology, patient care, and case management, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals.

Duties

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for children and adolescents, focusing on their emotional and psychological needs. Develop and implement treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and special education staff, to ensure holistic patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and case management activities. Engage in data collection and research initiatives to enhance therapeutic practices and contribute to the field of pediatric psychology. Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. Educate families about mental health issues, treatment options, and resources available for support.

Qualifications

:

Valid state licensure as a Psychotherapist/ counselor or equivalent credential. Experience working with children and adults in clinical settings. Familiarity with medical terminology and case management processes. Previous hospital experience is a plus. Knowledge of special education systems and resources is beneficial. Strong research skills with an emphasis on evidence-based practices in psychotherapy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
