Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and families. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to manage cases effectively while utilizing data collection methods to track progress and outcomes. This is an independent contractor position not an employee-ship. Flat fee rentals are preferred can negotiate a split revenue if needed. The ideal candidate will already have started creating a clientele and needing a space to see clients in-person. Room is currently set up for play therapy but can be rearrnged for whatever the needs are.

Responsibilities



Provide individual and group counseling sessions for children and adolescents. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. Conduct assessments to identify emotional, behavioral, and developmental issues. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for children. Maintain accurate records of patient care, including case management documentation and data collection. Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with healthcare professionals. Stay informed about the latest research in pediatric counseling and special education practices. Advocate for children's needs within the healthcare system and educational settings.

Experience



A background in patient care, particularly in pediatrics or special education, is highly desirable. Previous experience working with children is preferred. Familiarity with case management processes and data collection techniques is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of medical terminology will enhance interactions within healthcare environments.
