Pivot Point's Mental Health Program offers "Counselling by Consultation," an innovative and evidence-informed approach that expands the reach of Clinical Counsellors by involving a broader network of support. Instead of relying solely on direct counselling, this model integrates caregivers, internal team members, and external professionals into the therapeutic process.

Counsellors (Psychotherapists) are professionals who have been trained and are qualified to provide psychotherapy and other counselling and Mental Health services with individuals, families, and groups. Clinical Counsellors treat behavioural, cognitive, emotional and family based problems and disorders.

The main goal of Pivot Point's Counsellors is to use counselling strategies, and/or to oversee the progress and development of their clients, to help people live a more satisfying and effective life. This work typically involves identifying a small set of client chosen goals, finding potential solutions and strategies to reach those goals, then walking that path together, or overseeing others as they implement those strategies with the client family.
