Farmers of North America is seeking a qualified individual for the position of In-House legal cousel. Top applicants must have extensive experience in corporate litigation. Established in 1998, Farmers of North America has over twenty years of service to members maximizing profitability. This position will spearhead complex corporate litigations featuring unique challenges most suitable for highly organized individuals with the ability to perform at a high level in a professional but informal working environment. FNA offers a flexible work environment wherein interested individuals will be able to work from home or out of offices based in either Saskatoon preferably. RESPONSIBILITIES: \xe2\x97\x8f Demonstrate expertise in all phases of negotiation, litigation, and trial. \xe2\x97\x8f Work closely with a support team to draft substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, deposition, and additional legal documentation for trial preparation. \xe2\x97\x8f Exceptional competency for legal writing and research. \xe2\x97\x8f Travel as required for court appearances, depositions, and trial. \xe2\x97\x8f Enough flexibility to respond to immediate and unexpected legal demands. \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to identify experts and coordinate preparation for trial. \xe2\x97\x8f Show leadership and initiative in motivating and producing strategic legal pathways. REQUIRED: \xe2\x97\x8f Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate litigation in either Saskatchewan or Alberta. \xe2\x97\x8f Graduation from an accredited law school with an active license to practice Canadian law. \xe2\x97\x8f Experience in agriculture related fields will be an added advantage. \xe2\x97\x8f Demonstrable trial experience. \xe2\x97\x8f Excellent deposition and preparation skills. \xe2\x97\x8f Strong and persuasive oral and writing skills needed to clearly and effectively articulate position. \xe2\x97\x8f Appreciation for and commitment to the delivery of the highest quality legal work. \xe2\x97\x8f Strategic thinker, sound decision-maker, and problem solver with exceptional negotiation skills. \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to take direction and work independently. Salary negotiations will be based on experience. The candidate must be available to start immediately. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Salary: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year Benefits:
