We are a growing transportation company specializing in reliable, cost-efficient freight services. We are looking for a detail-oriented

Cost Validation Associate

to support our finance and operations teams by ensuring the accuracy of transportation-related costs and vendor charges.

Key Responsibilities

Validate trip-related costs including mileage, fuel, lane rates, tolls, and driver settlements. Review and verify vendor invoices related to equipment, repairs, fuel cards, and logistics services. Compare charges against contracts, to identify discrepancies. Enter and reconcile information within

Appian

workflows systems. Use Excel to clean, analyze, and audit cost data; create reports and spreadsheets as needed. Communicate with dispatch, operations, maintenance, and Customer to resolve cost questions. Maintain accurate and organized cost documentation within company systems. Collaborate closely with the Finance Department to prepare and process driver payments in a timely manner. Maintain organized records of fuel usage, mileage, and payment records for compliance and reporting.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, or similar field.

Strong Excel skills

(VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, formulas). Experience with

Appian

and

Trans Plus

is an asset. Prior experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, or freight billing is a strong advantage. Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with operations and finance teams. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
