Job Posting: Cost Controller - Mining Industry (Fly-In/Fly-Out)



We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Cost Controller

to join our client's team at a producing mining company. This role offers the opportunity to be directly involved in the financial monitoring and control of mining operations, with exposure to both corporate and site-level activities.

Key Responsibilities

Track and monitor operational and capital costs against budgets and forecasts. Prepare and analyze cost reports, variance analyses, and other financial reporting for management. Support decision-making by providing clear financial insights and recommendations. Collaborate with site operations, corporate finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information flow. Contribute to continuous improvement in cost control processes and systems.
Requirements

Strong communication and analytical skills. Basic proficiency in French (reading and conversational level) to support interaction with stakeholders. Ability to adapt to a

fly-in/fly-out

arrangement to the mine site (exact rotation to be discussed). Flexibility to be based in Ontario/Quebec area, with occasional travel to the Montreal office and to the mine site camp. Relevant experience in cost control, accounting, or financial analysis is an asset, but not required for the right candidate. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business tools.
