Job Description

Our client is a leader in their industry. Due to exciting growth, they are adding a Cost Accounting Manager to the team. Reporting to the COO, the Cost Accounting Manager will manage a small team of 2 Cost Analysts. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office.

As the Cost Accounting Manager, you are responsible for establishing, maintaining and reporting on product costs and operating expenses. You will work closely with the Operations team to maintain and control costs and expenses every month. You will present results on a weekly basis to the Senior Leadership team. You are the key liaison between Finance and Operations and they key to organizational cost control.

To be considered for the role of Cost Accounting Manager, you must be a designated CPA with 7+ years of accounting experience with a minimum of 5 years of devoted cost accounting. Experience from manufacturing, engineering or construction industries is preferred.

• Establish and maintain standard reports in ERP system.

• Work with Operations Team to create cost reports and explain variances.

• Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPI\'s) on a monthly basis.

• Track cost savings from process improvements.

• Analyze product and operating costs monthly and provide explanations to Senior Management.

• Ensure proper treatment of OPEX and CAPEX.

• Assist Operations Managers with budgeting and forecasting.

• Lead monthly and weekly cost review meetings with management.

• Work with the team to accurately predict monthly costs.

• Travel to manufacturing sites as required.
