Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing costs associated with our products and services, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost management practices.

Responsibilities



Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including cost variance analysis and budget performance. Conduct cash flow analysis to ensure optimal liquidity for operations. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Perform balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to maintain accurate financial records. Utilize accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or other ERP systems for financial data management. Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations in all accounting practices. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning. Collect and interpret financial data to provide insights into cost management strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze costs related to production, operations, and projects. Maintain general ledger accounting accuracy through diligent account reconciliation.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus. Proven experience in cost accounting or related field within public accounting or corporate accounting environments. Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, technical accounting, and financial analysis. Proficiency in financial report writing and interpretation; ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. Familiarity with budgeting processes and cash flow management techniques. Experience with various accounting software packages (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Sage) is essential; knowledge of ERP systems is preferred. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail; ability to identify trends and variances in financial data. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
