Robert Half has a terrific opportunity for a permanent Accountant to join a well-established

Canadian company in York Region ( On-site in Newmarket / East Gwillimbury / Aurora ) Area. Our client offers a competitive package and good work-life balance

As the Accountant, you will be responsible for the company\'s financial general accounting and assisting the Accounting Manager & Plant Controller . You will also be leading the general day to day reconciliations, accounts payable and budgetary controls. The Accountant will also posses excellent analytical skills and thrives working in a challenging and stable / team environment while contributing to the company\'s long-standing continued global growth trajectory .

Responsibilities:

Processing of supplier invoices and follow up to ensure prompt payments.

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Handle all general accounting issues related to the BS / GL

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Prepare government remittances (corporate tax, GST/HST)

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Some costing duties

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Reconcile & balance AP supplier statements

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Maintain control sheets

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Assist with banking transactions & reconciliation

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Enter any journal entries requested

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Back up other finance functions

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Perform any other accounting & finance tasks related to the proper functioning of the operations

REQUIREMENTS :

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Degree / College Diploma in accounting, enrolled in the CPA program ( Asset ) or Any Accounting designation program is nice to have.

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Relevant experience of 2+ years in an accounting department in a manufacturing environment ( asset )

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Knowledge of Windows environment and Microsoft office (intermediate knowledge of Excel).

\xe2\x9e\xa2 Facility in learning new software - Knowledge of Epicor ERP an asset
