Job Summary





G Mining Ventures is seeking a Payroll & Finance Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Payroll & Finance Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and record-keeping for the organization including related financial analysis. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in handling financial information. You will collaborate with various departments and personnel to manage payroll and various required system accesses for employees.

Working Conditions



The position of Payroll & Finance Administrator will work Monday-Friday schedule, based in Brossard, Canada.

Key Responsibilities






1.Payroll and Processing

Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for employees using payroll software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international labor laws. Verify timecards, attendance records, and other payroll-related data for accuracy. Process payroll information, including but not limited to master file updates, earnings, department changes, leaves, new hire set-up, and terminations for multiple payrolls. Ensure compliance with payroll tax requirements and submit payroll tax reports to relevant authorities on time. Assist in the completion of audits by providing necessary financial data and payroll records.

2.Accounts Payable and Financial Administration

Assist in payroll and financial operations for employees across multiple countries, ensuring adherence to international tax laws and labor regulations. Payroll funding between different entities. Stay updated on global payroll and accounting best practices and assist in implementing necessary adjustments. Prepare all journal entries related to payroll.

3.Collaboration and Reporting

Work closely with HR, accounting, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of financial data. Communicate payroll-related changes and updates to employees and assist with payroll-related inquiries and concerns. Generate payroll and financial reports for management, external auditors, and regulatory bodies. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Identify and implement process improvements in payroll, accounts payable, and financial administration to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

4.International Accounting and Compliance

Assist in payroll and financial operations for employees across multiple countries, ensuring adherence to international tax laws and labor regulations. Manage payroll funding between different entities. Stay updated on global payroll and accounting best practices and assist in implementing necessary adjustments.

Requirements






Experience

Considerable clerical or administrative experience, specifically related to the payroll or attendance keeping/time entry functions. Considerable experience using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Experience using automated payroll/time and attendance systems and reporting software Experience working with multinational payroll and financial operations preferred. Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, accounting principles, and compliance regulations. Proficiency in payroll and accounting software; experience with international payroll systems is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and implement best practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Education/Certification/Designation

Post-secondary education in the fields of payroll, human resources management, accounting, public administration, and / or clerical/administrative, or equivalent combination of education and/or payroll-related experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, accounts payable, and financial administration.
