Midland Transport is currently seeking a Corporate HR Manager reporting to the VP of Human Resources at our Head Office located in Dieppe, NB.

What You Will Do:

• Contribute to the implementation of Human Resources projects and initiatives and ensure alignment in Canada and the United States.

• Provide expertise and hands \xe2\x80\x93 on support to employees and managers in a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, training and development.

• Manages talent acquisition activities to attract top talent and build the brand as an employer of choice in the industry (i.e., community and industry recruitment events, campus recruitment activities, build/source pipelines for targeted talent pools)

• Own, grow and lead the Company\'s immigration strategy to bring professional truck drivers to our Canadian operations.

• Liaise with governmental and other external organizations to ensure a network of resources are available so that we can attract, welcome, and retain new Canadians through immigration.

• Work closely with Midland\xe2\x80\x99s leadership and operations teams to develop a workforce plan, recruitment strategies, and programs that provide for effective recruitment.

• Keep up with industry market trends and adjust practices accordingly.

• Develop and periodically reviews, and updates policies and procedures in relation to the Federal legislation.
• Institutes and maintains an effective governance communication program for the organization to ensure heightened awareness of policies and procedures, as well as to create understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related to policies and procedures.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.

• Certified Human Resources Professional( CHRP) or other HR designation

• Experience with an ATS, a HRIS, and other HR platforms (Taleo, HCM, Kronos, Perceptyx, etc.)

• Minimum of 5- 7 years experience in Human Resources Management

• Customer focused with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to influence team members and leaders

• Knowledge of recruiting practices, social media, recruitment technologies, and immigration regulations.

• Knowledge of employment law (i.e. federal legislation), and HR operational background- Canadian and US.
• Bilingual (English & French) is an asset.
