The Role
The Corporate Executive Chef will serve as the culinary leader for Heart to Home Meals and apetito Canada, with responsibility for shaping the future of our menu and product innovation. This individual will bring a deep knowledge of culinary arts, flavour development, and food science to deliver meals that delight our customers and meet their nutritional needs.
While the role includes external visibility as a trusted culinary spokesperson, its foundation lies in culinary excellence -- setting the standard for product development, leading flavour innovation, and ensuring every meal reflects the highest quality and care.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary Leadership & Innovation
Set and drive the culinary flavours for Heart to Home Meals and apetito Canada, ensuring meals balance taste, nutrition, and senior-friendly design.
Lead menu innovation, flavour profiling, and recipe development across a wide range of cuisines.
Stay ahead of culinary trends and adapt global techniques for a Canadian senior audience.
Champion continuous improvement in taste, texture, and nutritional value through culinary testing and refinement.
Customer & Franchise Engagement
Act as the face of the brand in customer interactions, showcasing culinary expertise with warmth and relatability.
Partner with franchisees & the sales team to support product knowledge, menu rollouts, and product training.
Host tastings, cooking demonstrations, and educational sessions that enhance customer and franchisee engagement.
Brand Representation
Represent the culinary voice of the organization in media appearances, food demonstrations, and industry events.
Share knowledge and insights in a way that is approachable, authentic, and rooted in culinary expertise.
Partner with marketing to ensure food stories and campaigns reflect the depth of culinary quality behind the brand.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and R&D to bring culinary thinking into decision-making.
Mentor and inspire internal teams through sharing knowledge of cuisines, cooking techniques, and flavour development.
Ensure food safety and quality remain at the heart of all menu and product initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Red Seal or equivalent culinary certification required; advanced culinary training strongly preferred.
10+ years' progressive culinary leadership experience in foodservice, hospitality, or large-scale meal production.
Demonstrated expertise in menu development, flavour science, and recipe adaptation for specific dietary needs.
Track record of innovating with diverse cuisines and translating them into practical, scalable meal solutions.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with comfort in customer-facing and team leadership settings.
Knowledge of nutrition, senior diets, and regulated foodservice operations considered a strong asset.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
