to lead and optimize the financial management of our three interconnected and growing companies in Southern New Brunswick's building and construction sector.This is a key leadership role for someone who learns quickly, understands how to streamline financial systems and processes, and supports a collaborative team environment. About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Owners and leading a finance team of three, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for the integrity of all financial reporting, payroll, tax compliance, and internal controls. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background who can quickly understand company policies and workflows -- and who is motivated to build systems that enhance clarity and accountability.

Estimated Salary range bassed on experience, bassed on experience and abilities
CAD $ 97,590 ( + higher with CPA) with Benefits Package.

Key Responsibilities



Lead all aspects of corporate financial accounting, reporting, tax compliance, and consolidation across all three companies. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial and management reporting, including month-end and year-end close. Maintain and enforce strong internal controls to protect company assets. Oversee payroll, vacation tracking, and benefits reporting with precision and compliance. Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue, payroll, and tax. Deliver timely monthly financial statements, forecasting reports, and other reporting needs. Conduct contract reviews, monitor receivables, and support cash flow management. Manage reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts. Support annual review engagement and coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals. Recommend improvements to accounting practices, reporting, and workflows to support team-wide efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance; CPA designation or Work Experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance, ideally within multi-entity or project-based industries. Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent understanding of Canadian payroll, tax, and compliance standards. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with calm and clarity. An analytical thinker with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. Enjoys building systems and workflows that help others succeed.
