I am looking for a Corporate Controller for a manufacturing firm in Ville Saint Laurent:
The Controller is responsible for producing financial statements and managing controls for several companies. He or she reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and works closely with managers to analyze and provide the financial information they need to make decisions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces consolidated monthly and annual financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements) prepared in accordance with accounting standards within the specified deadlines;
- Performs general accounting and supervises the reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts;
- Document internal controls, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them;
- Ensure that existing accounting guidelines are updated and applied;
- Oversee the maintenance of the accounting charter and organizational structure in line with the company's evolving business model;
- Coordinate and prepare the year-end audit file and liaise with external auditors;
- Support sales tax and income tax verification processes and provide requested documents;
- Participate in the integration of new acquisitions;
- Collaborates with the FP&A team in preparing annual budget projections and any forecast exercises;
- Establishes SMART (Specific, Measurable, Accepted, Realistic, and Time-bound) goals and objectives for each member of their team at the beginning of the year and coaches and supports them throughout the year to achieve the expected results;
- Performs all other related tasks.
Technical skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of MS-OFFICE, including advanced EXCEL;
- Knowledge of various ERP systems such as SAP (an asset);
- Coaching skills.

- Sense of initiative and results-oriented;

Required qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in administration and CPA designation
- 5-6 years of experience (including 2 years in a similar position);
- 3 years of team management experience;
- Experience in a large accounting firm (an asset).
