Terralog Technologies Inc. (TTI) is a clean energy geomechanics service company based in Calgary, focused on developing and implementing innovative clean technologies for sustainable energy resource development. We are currently seeking a Corporate Controller for the parent company, with immediate availability. This position reports directly to the President and is a permanent full-time in-office position It is a great opportunity for a candidate who would like exposure to international markets and build on their current experience. Job Responsibilities: Financial Controls
  • Provide oversight and training to accounting department outside of Canada as well as AP/AR within Canada,
  • Handle yearly insurance requirements optimizing risk minimization,
  • Provide payroll and general HR oversight,
  • Responsible for management and control of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s working capital and cash flow,
  • Arrange and administer employee benefit plans and WCB coverage,
  • Prepare year-end working papers and maintain ongoing liaison with external auditors for Canada and international operations, and provide audit assistance,
Corporate Development
  • Provide special reports as required. Measure results against objectives and offer solutions,
  • Contract management,
  • Research and execute funding initiatives including but not limited to government funding applications (including SRED),
  • Assist senior management with project financing issues and financial projections as required.
  • Ensure appropriate understanding of corporate tax liabilities in international markets of operation,
Corporate Governance
  • Design and oversee the implementation of appropriate internal controls, systems and procedures,
  • Assist President and Investors by effectively communicating accounting/administration issues and ensuring their requirements are satisfied,
  • Maintain existing external financial/banking and legal relationships,
  • Perform Officer of the Company duties, acting as a signing officer for the bank, government and legal documents,
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Designated accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5-8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a SME organizations.
  • Experience with accounting software, preferably SAGE
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 with emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Ability to prioritize and use available resources to succeed
  • Intermediate level knowledge of payroll functions
  • Comprehensive experience with foreign exchange and ability to determine tax concerns in other countries.
  • Familiar with various contract structures, ability to deal with lawyers on drafting contracts
  • Good working knowledge of corporate minute book
  • Good problem-solving skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $82,267.68-$140,914.13 per year Education:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree (preferred)
