Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Corporate Accounting Analyst will be a key member of the Finance Team and be primarily responsible for preparing and filing monthly tax remittances (GST/HST, PST With-Holding Tax), processing of Accounts Receivable cash receipts, as well as assisting with the importing and or posting of journal vouchers. They will also ensure information is processed accurately and in a timely manner.



This position is based in the Edmonton office and will be a 12-month fixed term.
What You Will Be Working OnReconcile GST/HST, PST/RST and Withholding Tax general ledger accounts monthly Prepare and process government remittances online Assist with the set-up of payments for taxes owing Prepare the necessary journal entries to record tax remittances Prepare quarter-end journal entries to record GST/HST net position Assist in the application of cash receipts to outstanding accounts receivables Perform monthly reconciliations and quarterly working papers lead sheets for prepaids and accrued receivables Assist and provide back-up coverage for the Corporate Accounting Analyst (bank reconciliations, bank transactions, stop payments) Assist with special projects Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking ForBachelors Degree or post-secondary certificate or diploma program in Accounting considered an asset Relevant work experience of at least 3-5 years in an accounting support role Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision Knowledge of Viewpoint Vista considered an asset Strong communication skills Experience with Microsoft Excel Proven analytical/problem solving skills Highly accurate and efficient with excellent attention to detail Deliver results under tight deadlines Hands on and willing to roll up their sleeves
