The Opportunity
This is a full-time position based at our Head Office in Vancouver (Burrard & W. Broadway). We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Corporate Accountant
to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and financial management.
This role is critical in ensuring accuracy of financial statements and compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage full cycle accounting for multiple holding companies
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
Reconcile various general ledger accounts
Record foreign exchange transactions
Reconcile various investment accounts
Bank account reconciliations
Prepare, enter and post journal entries
Generate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and trial balances
Analyze revenue and expense variances
Conduct internal audits
Prepare management reports for head office
Assist with year-end documentation for external auditors
Train and support other corporate team members
Navigate basic functions of SAGE 50
Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as required
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
Completion of Core 1 in the CPA Program
Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective time management and multi-tasking capabilities
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
