WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR



As a

Corporate Accountant

, you'll support the Vice President, Finance and perform a variety of accounting and analytical functions with a strong focus on financial reporting and financial statements for multiple Canadian holding entities. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong accounting background and strong attention to detail and familiarity with various reporting standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Prepare journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and intercompany reconciliations. Reconcile bank accounts, vendors accounts, and balance sheet schedules. Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements. Ensure compliance with ASPE/IFRS standards and real estate industry practices. Process vendor invoices and match purchase orders, contracts, and payment certificates. Prepare EFTs, wire transfers, and payments runs on a scheduled basis. Maintain vendors accounts and respond to inquiries. Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger; prepare AP aging reports. Assist with month-end closing, accruals, and year-end audit support Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly general accounting responsibilities for corporate entities, Employee expense reimbursements & visa statement reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting deliverables including financial statements in accordance with ASPE/IFRS. Ensure compliance with HST/GST rules and claim input tax credits accurately. Assist with providing documentation for external auditors Assist with various special projects and process improvement initiatives within the corporate accounting function

KEY QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum 2 - 3 years experience with general accounting or full-cycle month-end close process Strong attention to detail Intermediate proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks Previous experience with Procore is nice to have Exposure to or experience in real estate is an asset Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
