About the role
The Corporate Accountant role is a key business partner helping department heads generate and execute their financial and strategic plan. This role will enable you to utilise your strong analytical and communication skills to build strong relationships and help shape the financial future of our company.
The role is ideal for a motivated individual with a willingness to learn, overcome challenges, and desire to grow within Finance.
What you'll do

• You'll be responsible for ensuring accuracy in our financial reporting, checking our balances, reconciling accounts, and investigating any variances
• Responsible for identifying and developing critical process improvements to help Q4 scale our reporting and financial operations
• Provide meaningful insights through flux analysis that help stakeholders make informed decisions as the company grows
• Be a key team member in the preparation of annual consolidated and statutory audits, investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
• Own the consolidated balance sheet reporting, including managing detailed flux analysis for all accounts in every region
• Prepare and file all sales tax entries and returns
• Prepare sales taxability analysis to help align ever changing tax regulations with our contract language and products to ensure compliance
• Manage the full set of financials for the Kiufor Mexico entity and lead the transition of related entries in-house
• Assist with building out custom reports and saved searches within NetSuite to help streamline and automate reporting capabilities and processes at month end
• Support various system automation and accounting projects aimed at enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency
• Advise on, develop or amend accounting systems, policies, and procedures
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of monthly internal and external reporting packages, including financial statements and analysis

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a dynamic company environment, ideally within a mid-sized organization. Prior exposure to the SaaS business model is a bonus.
• Completed or working toward a CPA, or international equivalent;
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting practices;
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS principles and financial statement preparation;
• NetSuite proficiency required.
• Experience with preparing month-end reporting including account reconciliations;
• Experience with complex accounting transactions would be an asset
• Experience working with international subsidiaries, including statutory reporting requirements, would be given favourable consideration;
• Intermediate/Advanced experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets (Vlookups, nested formula functions, Pivot Tables, Charts);
• Confidence to embrace new ways of doing things, including automating functions, finding scalable solutions and driving continuous improvement;
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; and
• The desire to work in a fast-growing dynamic environment.
