• Administer our financial consolidation, reporting and planning tool.
• Lead Sonepar Canada\'s monthly close processes including full cycle accounting (journal entries, accruals and adjustments)
• Assist the Corporate Controller in the preparation of various analyses for senior management and the parent company.
• Contribute to the realization of financial presentations for the executive leadership team.
• Balance sheet reconciliation and fixed asset control and management for the Holding company
• Participate in finance projects (Implementing financial tools, KPIs, Formalizing accounting documentation).
• Oversee the annual internal control process and coordinate with various Opcos\' of Sonepar Canada.
• You will often be interacting (in English and French) with the Finance Directors of the Opcos\' of Sonepar Canada and with Sonepar\'s teams in France.
• You will participate in the preparation of the corporate income tax provision and returns.
• Work with external auditors at year end.
• As needed, oversee and/or coordinate with external consultants who assist with the daily operations.
• Ad hoc projects and analysis.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, with an accounting option;
• A valid accounting designation (CPA); or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position, ideally in a retail or distribution business;
• The ability to analyze and summarize information to understand findings and issues;
• An analytical mind and detail oriented; inquisitive, with the ability to work conscientiously and consistently;
• Ability to work in close collaboration with a variety of individuals and groups;
• Bilingualism, oral and written (French and English);
• Strong computer skills including Office suite, Excel spreadsheets, Power BI.
• Experience with Infor SX and SAP an asset.
