We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based out of our Brampton office.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and various departments.
  • Involved in day-to-day accounting processes, including invoice entry, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties such as monthly accounting, GST/HST filings, payroll processing, etc.
  • Coordinate CRA audits and prepare required documentation.
  • Analyze financial data and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
  • Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, and reconciling accounts.
  • Prepare and complete financial statements and tax returns for compilation engagements.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and asset tracking.
  • Handle lease accounting processes
  • Assess internal accounting procedures and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with monthly or quarterly close processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect the organization's financial information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance/ CPA Candidate
  • 2+ years of related job experience in Workday will be an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the aptitude to learn new software quickly.
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks and Sage 300 will be an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook.
  • Ability to process large volume of invoices and payments, while prioritizing competing tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines with competing and shifting priorities
