Copywriter
Maison Battat Inc. - Montreal QCAt Battat, we\'re in the business of making kids happy. It also means joining a stimulating workplace, full of professional challenges and the possibility to develop and grow.Today, we\'re looking for a creative Copywriter with a passion for the written word and a knack for strategic thinking to join our Marketing team. Eager to channel their inner child, this person (1) loves the power of words and can write anything from a snappy headline for an ad to an engaging blog post, (2) can communicate and collaborate with other teams to ensure that all copy needs are met, and (3) adapts to change on the fly and is comfortable working in an energetic environment. (They will be reporting to the Content Manager.)Responsibilities:

• Write, revise and optimize SEO-friendly toy descriptions for websites;
• Develop monthly content calendars for a portfolio of brands;
• Create content for email marketing and build newsletters;
• Conceptualize, write and build blog posts for brand websites;
• Create engaging ad copy for digital advertising;
• Write, proofread and edit various print content, such as packaging copy;
• Collaborate with social media specialists to implement marketing campaigns;
• Add content to websites via CMS (i.e. WordPress) and proactively update them as needed.
• Analyze and report on data pertaining to email marketing and blog performance.

Experience:

• College diploma or a certificate in a related field (i.e., Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, etc.)
• Five years minimum of relevant professional experience in the field of copywriting and/or content creation.

Competencies & Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise in creating exciting and engaging content (writing samples will be required);
• Knowledge of current SEO best practices and keyword research techniques;
• Autonomy, initiative and a sense of ownership;
• Ability to adapt to a constantly changing and dynamic environment;
• Familiarity with the following will be considered an asset:

oExperience working with Amazon or other online retailers
o Klaviyo
o Semrush
o Helium 10
o WordPress
o Google Analytics
