Job Description

We are looking for a talented Copywriter to join our team on a contract basis, contributing to advertising initiatives in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who excels at creating concise, impactful promotional and brand copy within structured environments. You will collaborate closely with creative teams to craft messaging that aligns with campaign objectives and resonates with consumers.
Responsibilities:

• Write clear, engaging promotional copy tailored for ecommerce platforms, ensuring adherence to strict character limits and merchandising constraints.
• Optimize content for app and online environments, maintaining consumer-friendly language while meeting compliance standards.
• Review and refine terms and conditions, incorporating disclaimers where necessary to ensure legal and brand alignment.
• Absorb product knowledge through provided materials and apply it effectively to copywriting tasks.
• Collaborate with brand teams to interpret creative assets and develop copy that supports campaign goals and creative direction.
• Craft brand manifestos and high-level campaign messaging to strategically position products against competitors.
• Develop long-form scripts for videos, leadership speeches, and other strategic messaging materials.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure copy meets platform, format, and tone of voice requirements.
• Work closely with strategy and creative teams to ideate and refine messaging that aligns with brand objectives.
• Proven experience in copywriting, particularly for promotional and brand campaigns.
• Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Familiarity with SEO principles and digital marketing activities.
• Ability to analyze insights from platforms like Facebook Insights to inform content creation.
• Strong knowledge of blogging, advertisements, and website content development.
• Excellent writing skills with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and consumer engagement.
• Ability to adapt messaging to various formats, tones, and platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with creative and strategy teams.
