Job Description


You\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily with designers and art directors, as well as other partners in Creative, Marketing and Project Management. Depending on the project, you may also work with a variety of partners in other Creative areas, Digital, eCommerce, the Fashion Office, Philanthropy, Visual, and Merchandising partners to ensure a consistent brand experience.

Essential Functions

  • Writes clear, compelling copy to embody the voice of the brand. Adapts style as needed for different types of communication, whether the objective is more inspirational, or more straightforward.
  • Effectively interprets information briefed for each project, and challenges the brief to ensure the strategy is clear and aligned to the channel\xe2\x80\x99s best practice.
  • Proactively seeks effectiveness in advertising by understanding the needs of our customers and researching competitors\xe2\x80\x99 advertisements and campaigns.
  • Delivers on the creative brief requirements, and offers alternative solutions when there\xe2\x80\x99s a better angle.
  • Collaborates with design partners to keep the work fresh, challenges status quo and ultimately delivers powerful, motivating communications.
  • Knows the legal guidelines and formatting, ensuring compliance and consistency throughout projects.
  • Stays current with ever-evolving channel best practices.
  • Plans, prioritizes and organizes a high volume of work and coordinates with Project Management to effectively meet deadlines.
  • Proofreads and self-edits to deliver work that is accurate and achieves standards of creative excellence and technical quality.
Competencies
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in language arts
  • 1-3 years experience copywriting
  • Portfolio demonstrating strategic & creative strength
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs \xe2\x80\x93 Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint, Word
  • Strong ability to think conceptually, strategically and technically
  • Detail- and solution-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
