OBJECTIF DU POSTE
Le ou la Coordonnateur(trice) SSE (Sante, Securite et Environnement) est responsable de soutenir la mise en oeuvre, le suivi et l'amelioration continue des programmes SSE de l'entreprise afin d'assurer la conformite aux exigences legales et corporatives canadiennes. Il/elle joue un role cle dans la sensibilisation, la formation et la promotion d'une culture de prevention et de responsabilite environnementale.
PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITES
Soutenir la mise en place et la mise a jour des politiques, procedures et programmes SSE conformement aux exigences federales, provinciales et municipales.
Effectuer des inspections, evaluations de risques et enquetes d'incidents; recommander et assurer le suivi des actions correctives.
Coordonner les formations en sante et securite (SIMDUT, cadenassage, espaces clos, EPI, ergonomie, etc.).
Gerer la documentation et les registres SSE (rapports, indicateurs de performance, audits).
Participer a la preparation et a la gestion des plans d'urgence.
Promouvoir la participation des employes aux initiatives SSE et a l'amelioration continue.
Contribuer a la gestion environnementale (dechets, emissions, eau, produits chimiques).
Participer aux audits internes et externes ainsi qu'aux inspections reglementaires (ex. CNESST, Environnement Canada).
Collaborer avec les superviseurs et la direction pour integrer les exigences SSE aux operations quotidiennes.
EXIGENCES
Diplome collegial ou universitaire en sante et securite au travail, environnement ou domaine connexe.
5 a 10 ans d'experience pertinente en milieu industriel, pharmaceutique ou manufacturier.
Bonne connaissance des lois et reglements canadiens applicables (CNESST, Environnement Canada, Transport Canada, etc.).
Excellentes habiletes de communication, d'organisation et d'analyse.
Formation en premiers soins, SIMDUT ou autre certification SSE (atout).

POSITION PURPOSE
The EHS Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with applicable Canadian laws, regulations, and corporate standards. The role involves providing technical support, training, and leadership to foster a strong safety culture and environmental stewardship across all departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the implementation and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with federal, provincial, and municipal regulations.
Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations; recommend and follow up on corrective actions.
Maintain EHS documentation, records, and performance indicators (KPIs, reports, audits).
Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning.
Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Participate in environmental monitoring programs (waste management, water, air emissions, chemical handling).
Support compliance audits and inspections from regulatory bodies (e.g., CNESST, Environment Canada).
Collaborate with management and supervisors to ensure integration of EHS requirements into daily operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
2-5 years of relevant experience in an industrial, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Canadian and provincial EHS regulations (CNESST, Environment Canada, Transport Canada, etc.).
Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Certification in First Aid, WHMIS, or other EHS-related training is an asset.
