Our Stadium Operations team is growing!

The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a Coordinator, Game Day Staff Operations and Coordinator, Game and Event Day Operations

This is the ultimate opportunity to be involved with one of the largest fan experience teams within the organization, supporting with staffing operations and ensuring a seamless fan experience for those who travel near and far to watch Canada\'s team.

The Coordinator, Game Day Staff Operations will support in cultivating and nurturing a fulsome game day staff experience, through oversight of all scheduling and liaising with staff throughout the season. The Coordinator, Game Day Staff Operations will be responsible for ensure all game day staff have the tools they need to be successful throughout the course of the season, while elevating our fan experience day-to-day.

The Coordinator, Game & Event Day Operations will support in logistics of both game day and event day operations. Facilitating departmental needs such as game day/event day communication, credentialing, staff scheduling and payroll. The Coordinator, Game & Event Day Operations will lead the charge in ensuring all game day/event day issues are properly resolved and record, with a focus on elevating the overall fan experience.

Coordinator Game Day Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate new hire onboarding process which includes tracking candidates progress, following up when necessary, and creating payroll cards

Responsible for managing and coordinating responses to all game staff inquiries and requests in an efficient, accurate and timely manner, in collaboration with Coordinator, Game & Event Day Operations

Aid the part-time Scheduling Coordinator(s), by managing overall staff availability, to ensure all game and events have adequate staff to prevent barriers and enhance the fan experience

Work collaboratively with the Scheduling Coordinator and Gate Staff Coordinator to track all staff attendance, including lates, call-ins, and time-off requests

Collaboratively work with all Part-Time People Leaders on initiatives related to the part-time staff experience (i.e. training, recruiting, rewards & recognition program).

Work with the Manager, Stadium Operations to evaluate current operating processes and create strategies for increasing process effectiveness

Assist in creating advance documents for all part-time staff, working with internal departments such as Security, Facilities, Fan Services, Promotions & Events etc. for all baseball games, concerts and events

Oversee game and event day specific part-time staff communication through distributing of notes with pertinent information and oversight of internal broadcast network information

Support the department with administrative tasks such as ordering, invoicing, and filing

Review Incident Report Cards following each event, flagging any incident that requires follow-up

Support the Manager, Stadium Operations in gameday responsibilities including acting as an support for Supervisors including acting as a duty manager for select games

Work collaboratively across internal departments to ideate and continuously elevate the fan experience

Conduct annual research into other teams and venues for best practices in baseball and event staffing experiences

On-site to work all 81 home games and concerts/events to support the staff and fan experience

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and part-time staff. Contribute to creating and maintaining a collaborative culture

Coordinator Game & Event Day Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the Manager, Stadium Operations in building job specific training decks and resources for the part time game staff, with a focus on WE CARE and the fan experience

Facilitate all training tracking, ensuring all Stadium Operations Part-Time staff are completing necessary trainings in a timely manner, following up and providing assistance when necessary

Responsible for managing and coordinating responses to all game staff inquiries and requests in an efficient, accurate and timely manner, in collaboration with Coordinator, Game Day Staff Operations

In collaboration with the Manager, Stadium Operations build and distribute the Stadium Operations Supervisor schedule for all games and events

Oversee payroll for all Stadium Operations supervisors, including tracking of hours, missed shifts and days off.

Collaboratively work with all Part-Time People Leaders on initiatives related to the part-time staff experience (i.e. training, recruiting, rewards & recognition program).

Work with internal departments such as, Security, Facilities, Engineering, Fan Services, Promotions & Events etc. to oversee departmental communication through building, updating and distributing homestand and event overview notes, and maintain online portal

Oversee online information portal, working collaboratively with IT department to continuously improve and drive adoption of portal use

Work with the Director, Stadium Operations to evaluate current credential processes to identify areas for improvement

Collaboratively working across departments and MLB, ensure all vendors and visitors have the proper credentials

Conduct annual research into other teams and venues for best practices in baseball and event operation and staffing experiences

Support the department with administrative tasks such as ordering, invoicing and filing

Support the Manager, Stadium Operations in gameday responsibilities including acting as an support for Supervisors including acting as duty manager for select games

Work collaboratively across internal departments to ideate and continuously elevate the fan experience

On-site to work al 81 home games and concerts/events to support the staff and fan experience

Review Incident Report Cards following each event, build and track follow-up where needed, ensuring all fan escalations are dealt with in a prompt and respectful manner - working closely with other game day departments to resolve

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and part-time staff. Contribute to creating and maintaining a collaborative culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to work all 81 home games (evenings, weekends, and holidays) and other Rogers Centre concerts/events, as well as uphold office hours

1 to 2 year\'s experience in a fast-paced event, office or administrative environment

Post-secondary education in sports, business, or hospitality and events preferred

Ability to walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time; walk up and down ramps and high/steep stairs; bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push; pull and carry items for a short distance

Ability to be exposed to loud noises and flashing/bright lights and screens

A team player who will establish and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and game day staff to reach desired result

Previous experience motivating a team while building relationships an asset

Strong communicator who can listen and constructively share opinions and feedback

Highly proficient in Microsoft applications with a focus on Microsoft Excel

Confident and effective communication skills - interpersonal, written, and verbal

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to multi-task and meet required deadlines

Experience in customer service an asset

Ability to lift in excess of 30 pounds

Knowledge of the game of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays is considered an asset
