We currently have an opportunity as Coordinator Teammate Recognition.Here\'s where you\'ll be focusing:

  • Coordinate all aspects of corporate teammate recognition programs including Service Awards, Quarter Century Club, Value Champion program, Retail Impact Awards, and President\'s Award to ensure Sobeys is regarded as a special place to work
  • Provide accurate data to vendors on a monthly basis to ensure timely recognition of employees
  • Monitor the Sobeys Recognition Inbox and investigate and follow up on inquiries
  • Prepare reports of upcoming service anniversaries and communicate to applicable Leaders
  • Coordinate the Value Champion nomination process by tracking nominations, sending packages to nominated employees, maintaining the nomination database, and preparing reports for selection committee
  • Identify print requirements for Recognition programs and partner with vendors on the design, printing, and distribution of collateral
  • Work with website host to update value champion survey (yearly) and provide information on winners to update website
  • Collaborate with teammates at all levels, including senior leadership, to validate and confirm nominations and award selections
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the tools and processes used to drive recognition programs
  • Contribute to strategic projects and processes within Recognition
  • Plan and implement inspirational events that honor teammate contributions
  • Prepare reports regarding recognition programs for senior leadership when requested
  • Collaborate with the communications team and cross-functional internal stakeholders on comprehensive communications and/or major announcements, promoted across multiple platforms
  • Collaborate with Human Resource teammates on overarching recognition strategies, tools, and programs
What you have to offer:
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Administrative experience preferred
  • Retail experience is an asset
  • Able to take initiative and is pro-active, a self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment and drive positive change
