Headquartered in Toronto, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is a national, private, not-for-profit organization committed to high-performance sports excellence. We are the largest private supporter of high-performance sport in Canada, and we are responsible for all aspects of Canada's involvement in the Olympic Movement, including the participation in the Olympic and Pan American Games.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sport Services, the Coordinator, Sport Services will play a key role in supporting the COC's qualification process, team registration, and results tracking for the Olympic, Pan American, Junior Pan American, and Youth Olympic Games. The coordinator will have a strong interest in data management and applying these skills to sport performance and competition results. The Coordinator will support with nominations and implementation of COC and COF direct-to-athlete/coach funding programs by supporting with preliminary analysis to support recommendations for these programs. They will also play an important role in Sport Services' core function of team registration and selection. Additionally, the coordinator will support with National Sport Organizations (NSOs) qualification predictions information across all events, contributing to the overall success of the Sport Services unit.
LOCATION
This position will be located in the COC office in Montreal, QC, at 500 Rene-Levesque Boulevard West. The COC offers a hybrid work model that allows for up to two (2) remote days per week.

External Sport Partners such Own the Podium, Sport Canada and Organizing Committee staff
Athlete and Coach Recognition
Execute the Athlete Excellence Fund (AEF) and Coach Excellence Fund (CEF) tracking and distribution of funds. Assist with budget projections for both programs
Support on the execution of Canadian Olympic Foundation, COC Marketing Partnerships, and Athlete Marketing programs, including direct-to-athlete/coach funding as required
Schedule and Results
Maintain accurate list of Key Dates/Sport Department calendar, including Test Events, Qualification, Domestic Competitions, World Championships, etc.
Support the Senior Manager, Sport Services, in the sharing of podium probabilities, timelines, qualification related data and World Championships results to inform on functional area operations and other planning for Games readiness
Provide the COC Games results of Canadians and daily monitoring of Canadian athletes' schedule and communicate change
Distribute sport technical information from Organizing Committees to internal and external stakeholders
Provide Canadian results analysis for Post-Games Reports
Report regularly on qualification status and performance trends
Provide insight on Canadian athlete performances to inform COC ticketing programs
Respond to requests for historical results information from both within the COC and from external partners
Team Selection and Registration
Coordinate the collection, and timely submission of all accreditation data for Team Canada Mission Team
Support the Project Manager, Sport Services team for the accurate and timely submission of all accreditations and sport entry data to Organizing Committees, taking a leadership role in sport entries and technical information requirements for Team Canada athletes
Coordinate the distribution process of Pre-Valid Card packages to potential team members by liaising with internal Functional Areas and National Sport Organizations (NSO)
As requested by the Project Manager, Sport Services with managing team registration lists with external partners, such as Sport Canada, Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) and Coaching Association of Canada (CAC)
Support the Senior Manager, Sport Services with the preparation of selection material for COC Team Selection Committee for all major Games
Other
Contribute to any sport-specific projects or working groups where applicable
Provide support to the maintenance/update of various online databases and the COC's Games Management System
Support with quota allocation for NSO attendees at various events
Other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL SKILLS
Education and Experience
College diploma or University degree, preferably in a sport related field
1-2 years of relevant experience
Skills and Abilities
Exceptional attention to detail
Familiarity with the Canadian Sport System and/or Olympic movement
High level of proficiency in Excel
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Bilingualism (English, French) preferred
Planning, project coordination, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with database or games management systems
Ability to contribute to a strong team environment
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines and projects
Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines
