What would my role be?





Reporting to the Director, Quality, Patient Safety, and Risk Management, you will:


Co-ordinate the development and implementation of Patient Safety initiatives Provide patient safety and quality improvement project consultation as needed Lead the production of the Corporate CQI work Plan Participate in the coordination and implementation of the Accreditation Canada process Conduct education sessions on QI methodology programs and departments Participate in corporate-level clinical audits Assist in other approved activities necessary for the optimal functioning of the QPR department



How do I qualify?





Required:


Master's Degree in a health-related field and in quality and/or program evaluation Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience Experience in clinical geriatrics, LTC, Rehabilitation, Palliative care or CCC. Experience in basic research methodology Experience in project co-ordination and report writing Experience in evaluation methodology Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement).*





Preferred:


Experience in research and in project co-ordination Quality related certification, such as lean green belt, lean six sigma black belt, etc.



What skills should I possess to succeed in the role?




Good communication skills (written, oral, and presentations) Good organizational skills Knowledge of indicator development and CQI methodology Knowledge of Patient Safety issues Advanced computer skills Basic knowledge of medical terminology
