Magna Mining's key objective is to become the next nickel and copper producing company in Canada by executing a growth strategy that is focused exclusively on the historic nickel producing district of Sudbury, ON.



We intend to achieve this objective via the creation of a Sudbury focused, hub and spoke production model, with our existing Shakespeare project as the hub. The path to the creation of a significant new battery metals producing Canadian company is to execute a long term, multi-faceted growth strategy.







The Coordinator, Projects supports the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role focuses on coordination, communication and operational efficiency across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development of detailed project plans, including scope, work breakdown structures, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate planning workshops and planning meetings with project managers and key stakeholders. Support the definition of project objectives, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths. Ensure project plans are aligned with organizational standards and governance frameworks. Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using project management tools. Track planned vs. actual progress and highlight schedule variances. Monitor task dependencies and identify potential scheduling conflicts or delays. Coordinate schedule updates with project managers and team leads. Support resource scheduling to ensure availability aligns with project timelines. Collect progress updates from team members and contractors. Maintain milestone trackers and delivery roadmaps. Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports, dashboards, and schedule forecasts. Escalate timeline risks and slippage to project managers with recommended mitigation actions. Assist with planning and allocation of project resources across multiple projects. Monitor workload capacity and flag resource constraints. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of project resources in line with project schedules. Identify scheduling risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks during planning and execution. Maintain risk, issue, and change registers with a focus on schedule impacts. Support impact analysis for schedule changes and re-planning activities. Maintain approved project plans, schedules, and baselines. Ensure version control and document management standards are followed.

Requirements




Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents



Post-secondary education in Mining or Civil Technology, Finance, Project Management, or a related field. Project management certification is considered an asset.

Work Experience: Nature & Length



3 or more years of project coordination experience.

Key Competencies: Behaviours & Skills



Practical knowledge of project management tools and methodologies. Proficient in scheduling software. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, contract and technical documents. Proficient with common computer skills including preparation of documents and presentations, spreadsheet use, database data entry, and email use. Proven analytical skills with attention to detail. Written and verbal communication skills.
