Coordinator of Operations, Development, and Communications
Position Description
Under the supervision of Artistic Director Denis Brott, the Coordinator will work closely with the Festival team to support all administrative, organizational, and promotional activities related to the annual Montreal Chamber Music Festival.
Key Responsibilities Administration
Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of the Festival
Draft and manage all contracts (artists, venues, ticketing, graphic design, public relations, translation, printing, suppliers, social media, etc.)
Write public grant applications and ensure required reporting is completed
Support the Artistic Director in fundraising and sponsorship activities
Oversee accounting and ticketing operations
Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors and follow up on meetings
Production
Coordinate the work and budget of stage managers and technical directors of the Festival
Planning
Actively participate in the planning and implementation of the Festival (concerts, benefit events, etc.)
Support the Artistic Director in development projects, including partnership building and managing relationships with donors (individual and corporate)
Communications
Supervise communication and public relations campaigns in collaboration with the publicist
Write or edit promotional materials (press releases, newsletters, social media posts, Google ads, web content, etc.)
Logistics
Manage logistics related to welcoming artists, partners, and sponsors (transportation, accommodations, reception, etc.)
Profile Sought
University degree in administration, cultural organization management, or a related field
Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written
Significant experience in administration, event management, or the cultural sector
Proficiency with software tools (Microsoft Office, Publisher, Photoshop, etc.)
Knowledge of digital tools: social media, Activity Messenger, WordPress
Personal Qualities
Strong interest in classical music and the cultural sector
Highly organized, thorough, and autonomous
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure, especially during the Festival period
Enthusiastic, dynamic, and professional attitude
