The incumbent will be responsible for mobilizing volunteers and implementing activities related to the processing of applications, from receiving applications to selecting volunteers.

In this role, you will:

Mobilization:

  • Contact volunteers by phone and email to check their availability and mobilize them.
  • Fill in the Smartsheet mobilization tables and schedules.
  • Provide briefings to the telephone operators at the beginning of shifts.
  • Supervise the telephone operators, answers questions, and manages breaks.
  • Make hotel arrangements for the volunteers.
  • Process volunteer time sheets and expense accounts.
  • Perform administrative duties associated mobilization, in accordance with the established rules and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing the volunteers\xe2\x80\x99 shift schedules.
  • Update databases and lists.
  • Communicate with the volunteers to ensure that they comply with volunteer resource policies.
Recruitment:
  • Actively contribute to the volunteer selection process.
  • Receive and follow up on volunteering applications from various sources.
  • Do the initial candidate assessment, including resume analysis and candidate profile.
  • Conduct candidate phone screening and selection interviews.
What we are looking for:
  • College diploma in human resources or any other relevant combination of training and experience.
  • At least two years of customer service experience and/or 1 to 2 years of recruiting experience.
  • Quick with data entry.
  • Proficiency with the following software: Smartsheet, Excel, Teams.
  • Experience in a volunteer environment is an asset.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of the Raiser\xe2\x80\x99s Edge database or equivalent tool.
  • Fluency in French and English is required.
Working conditions:
  • Much of the work is performed in a virtual office environment.
  • Ability to respond during non-traditional hours (late nights or weekends) and long work hours in a demanding context.
