Reporting to the Manager - Learning & Development, the Coordinator is a team player who is responsible for administrative and logistical support, coordination, development, monitoring, facilitation and evaluation of in person and virtual/online orientation, mandatory training, specialized education, special projects, meetings and events. The Coordinator supports the administration of the Learning Management System for the organization and also provides centralized support for the team. This Coordinator position will work primarily at St. Joseph's Hospital in the office.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education or other related field
Knowledge of Indigenous history/culture/worldview and understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion required
Two years of experience in a busy and fast paced administrative, academic, customer service, health care or corporate environment
Experience respectfully building relationships and collaborating with health care professionals and interprofessional teams
Skills/Abilities:
Strong customer service, administrative and problem-solving skills essential
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, concisely and respectfully, both orally and in writing, to support a positive, safe and healthy work environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and ability to generate detailed reports
Ability to coordinate and lead education and training sessions for a variety of learners using adult learning techniques
Ability to lead, coordinate and execute successful projects and events
Demonstrated regular attendance at work is essential
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the SJCG Immunization Policy IMS-04-005 or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date.
