The Coordinator Image Integration is responsible for supporting Island Health s strategic and clinical objectives by focusing on integrating the provincial image and initiatives into the Island Health environment. This role will work closely with subject matter experts while coordinating activities across Island Health s IM/IT divisions including Systems, Desktop, Network and Application support. The Image Integration Specialist will validate and implement recommendations for changes in processes and procedures. The role works closely with Health Shared Services Standards and Practices for packaging, application and peripheral testing and compliance along with standard and emergency patch management for provincially imaged devices. This position will provide guidance and leadership to project teams, bargaining and non-contract staff, contractors and vendors to ensure technical solutions deliver desired business outcomes.
The Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing and providing day-to-day direction to assigned staff in support of Island Health s Device services department. Working with the Manager, Device Services, the Coordinator assists and participates in the selection, training and supervision of bargaining unit staff. As well, the Coordinator participates in staffing management matters including attendance and performance management, career development, and discipline.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Graduation from a recognized degree program in a related field (such as Computer Science, Health Informatics, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), with 10 years of recent related experience, preferably in a large clinical organization. In addition, experience in software packaging, remediation and customization is desirable.
